Victoria McCray, MSc

Hi, I'm Victoria. I'm a research scientist and systems thinker interested in how information moves through people, technology, and institutions. My work spans public health, neuroscience, ML/AI, and open science, with a focus on building evidence, improving systems, and making research more accessible. Living with chronic health issues for most of my life shaped both the questions I ask and the work I pursue. I found purpose in public health because it offered a way to improve health systems at scale, and my own experience of feeling isolated in classrooms deepened my commitment to making education and research more equitable and accessible. For years I've been fascinated by how information is processed, shared, and distorted across people, technologies, and everyday systems. More recently, I've become interested in designing systems that better support people living with chronic pain, drawing on both scientific research and lived experience to understand where existing systems fall short and how they can be improved.
